About the header image: November 14, 2012
The photo for this week's header image comes from Tami Quigley of the blog Trailscapes. Here's what she had to say in the accompanying note:
Hi! I've attached a submission for Header of the Week. It's a photo of Bogert's Covered Bridge that I took Nov. 11, 2012 in Lehigh Parkway, Allentown.
The bridge spans 145 feet over the Little Lehigh River in Lehigh Parkway, Allentown. It's history traces back to the mid-1700s when the Bogert family moved into a log cabin next to the future site of the bridge. It is one of the oldest in the region and nation. The historical attraction is open only to pedestrian traffic - it's one of my favorite spots when walking.
The photo is posted on my blog, Trailscapes, at http://trailscapes-tami.blogspot.com
