The Return

Another blog found during a location-based blog search for all blogs in "NEPA, Pennsylvania." Here's a blog from a blogger known as "G" who left the world of blogging for a while and then returned.

From the first post:

After a long hiatus I've decided to return to blogging. Whether anyone reads this or not isn't the issue for me any longer. I'm doing this for myself. Why? Why not?! I have opinions and ideas. Like what is the deal with a freighter that goes missing with a load of lumber on board. Lumber? You really believe that? I'm not sure that do.

Or am I the only one on the planet that doesn't care who the judges are on AI? Seems like there ought to be more pressing issues to occupy my mind with lately. But what could possibly supplant AI? Typhoons? The price of gas? Healthcare run by the government? Can I "win" NaNoWriMo again this year? What's for dinner?

G's blog focuses on Christianity and has lots of reviews of books about Christianity. Like every other blog linked by NEPA Blogs, it provides a look at another facet of the complex, diverse collection of people who live in Northeastern Pennsylvania!

Box to Abu Dhabi

Who doesn't love music? But is there any music you don't love, can't love, because you find it inherently unlovable? What can be done with such music? Some folks from Northeastern Pennsylvania came up with an idea for where it can be shipped.

The world is full of bad music, and it's about time that someone comes along to isolate it all to one location - Abu Dhabi. Meet nine NEPA 20-somethings concerned with the direction that music is going in, and are hoping to put a stop to it before it gets out of hand.

Check it out! And who knows, maybe you'll find some of your favorite music being packed up for shipment to Abu Dhabi!

CacheCrazy.com

We knew this blog was out there - or something like it. Geocaching is an amazingly popular activity that combines hiking, exploration, and navigation (including the use of a Global Positioning System device) to play a global game of hide and seek. I personally know many people who enjoy geocaching in NEPA, but no one could point me to a blog about it. Brute-force searches also came up empty. Then I stumbled across this blog while doing a location search for blogger profiles based in "NEPA, United States."

From the first post:

I’m still not quite sure what it is about geocaching that keeps me so interested? Maybe it’s the fact that it combines many of the element that I really like such as tech gadgetry, internet community, the great outdoors, exercise and let’s not forget the adventure of the treasure hunt. Even as a small boy while other kids wanted to play Army, I wanted to play Pirate. Seeking buried treasure using a map and clues was always appealing to me so I guess in a sense; I have always been a cacher.

If you're a geocacher in Northeastern Pennsylvania, or are just curious as to what geocaching is all about, be sure to check out Cache Crazy!
