I'm going to let the about section of this blog speak for itself....
NEPA is renowned for it's abundant and diverse selection of pizza
restaurants. I'm a lifelong NEPA resident, longtime pizza maker, and
avid lover of all types of pizza. My goal is to bring you a minimum of 1
pizza review per week and build a library of reviews of pizza places
throughout NEPA.

Two cool things I found about this blog was that the author decided to create a Google Map to plot out all of the pizza places that were reviewed. You can check that out here. Also, the blog's author engages his readers by creating interactive polls. The one up now asks "What is your favorite kind of pizza?" Choices: Thin Crust (NY Style), Thick Crust (Chicago Style), Old Forge Style, Sicilian. Of course, I voted for my favorite - Sicilian.
This blog is fairly young, it's only been around since June. It does
have several reviews of popular pizza places in the area so far
(Revellos, The Gourmet Slice and Colarusso's to name a few). We look
forward to reading (....and drooling over....) more reviews soon!

Reel Speak
Here's a blog I found in a comment on one of David DeCosmo's Facebook posts!

What I look for in good film: You can thrill me, amuse me, and entertain me. You can even depress me, devastate me and educate me. Just don't bore me.
Reel Speak is written by NEPA native Alan Brocovich, who now lives in a far-off place with the exotic-sounding name of "Philadelphia." It comes with a scary-looking Content Warning, which I assumed was the consequence of someone seeing their favorite movie get slagged, but in fact is there at the request of the blogger himself. As he put it, "I keep the content warning activated as a way to protect myself, as I often use colorful metaphors to get my point across. Better safe than sorry."

The Return
Another blog found during a location-based blog search for all blogs in "NEPA, Pennsylvania." Here's a blog from a blogger known as "G" who left the world of blogging for a while and then returned.

After a long hiatus I've decided to return to blogging. Whether anyone reads this or not isn't the issue for me any longer. I'm doing this for myself. Why? Why not?! I have opinions and ideas. Like what is the deal with a freighter that goes missing with a load of lumber on board. Lumber? You really believe that? I'm not sure that do.
Or am I the only one on the planet that doesn't care who the judges are on AI? Seems like there ought to be more pressing issues to occupy my mind with lately. But what could possibly supplant AI? Typhoons? The price of gas? Healthcare run by the government? Can I "win" NaNoWriMo again this year? What's for dinner?
G's blog focuses on Christianity and has lots of reviews of books about Christianity. Like every other blog linked by NEPA Blogs, it provides a look at another facet of the complex, diverse collection of people who live in Northeastern Pennsylvania!

So, put out those cigarettes, douse any open flames, and click on over to Music Is Like Oxygen! Just remember: you get too much, you get too high; not enough and you're gonna die...

Mama's Cool Things
Here's a local blogger I found out about through her appearance on PA Live!: Karon Rehrig of Mama's Cool Things (http://mamascoolthings.com/). She's a single mom in Northeastern Pennsylvania whose blog is targeted at moms and specializes in product reviews. From her "About Me" page:

Cinema Cyclops
Bill Thomas's Cinema Cyclops (http://www.cinemacyclops.blogspot.com/) is billed as "The Mad Musings of a Pop Culture Addict with an Eye for Movies - No-frills movie reviews in 500 words or less. Because you've got places to be, dammit!"
Bill's goal is to add at least one new review each week. The films he's reviewed so far are mainstream films in the genres of science fiction (Real Steel, The Thing (2011) , In Time), fantasy (The Three Musketeers (2011)), and comedy (A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.) But in the future he plans to cover a broader selection of upcoming movies, and some older films as well.
If you'd like to get the inside scoop on the latest movies before you plunk down your hard-earned cash to see them in a theater, or if you'd just like to read some funny, insightful reviews of those same movies, be sure to check out Bill Thomas's Cinema Cyclops!
