PA Live! Blog of the Week: Moving to NEPA

NEPA Blogs will be presenting a "Blog of the Week" on the WBRE's PA Live! every Tuesday. PA Live! airs weekday afternoons on WBRE from 4:00 to 5:00.

Watch this episode on the PA Live! website:

Our PA Live! Blog of the Week this week is “Moving to NEPA” (http://movingtonepa.wordpress.com/) the blog of Matt Batchelor!

Moving to NEPA’s tag line is “A British guy at home in NorthEast Pennsylvania (NEPA). A photo journal of my adventures”. Matt is originally from Southampton in the UK and he has also lived in Chepstow, South Wales, Glasgow, Cork and Windsor. Matt started his blog in November 2011 shortly after learning he was moving to the United States with his wife, who is from the Scranton area. The two moved to the area in December of 2011. We learned about Matt’s blog shortly after that and added him to our blog roll.

Matt posts to his blog several times a week and while most of his posts contain a picture, I wouldn’t necessarily call this a photo blog. It is more of a pictorial of Matt’s new experiences in Northeast PA. In his most recent posts, you can find out more about his fishing hobby, gardening, and his love of craft beers. However, if you are into photography, you can find an extended collection of his photography by checking out his Flickr page (http//www.flickr.com/photos/dogfrog), and also by clicking the NEPA Photo Gallery or US Photo Gallery links from his blog. I’ve pinned a few of Matt’s photos from the NEPA Blogs Pinterest page, and they have received several likes and repins.

Matt is a member of our NEPA Bloggers Facebook Group and also can be found on Twitter under the username @dogfrog.

Moving to NEPA gives you a look at the area in a different light – a view from someone from another country, half a world away.

If you have a blog you would like us to link on NEPA Blogs, or know of a blog you think we should link, please let us know! You can always drop us a line at nepablogs@gmail.com!
