Our10.org is not a blog, but it is a website set up to assist people affected by the recent flooding in Northeastern Pennsylvania. From their "About" page:
About Our10.org
Press Release: September 15, 2011
Our10.org was founded on September 16th, 2011 in response to heavy flooding damage caused by Hurricane Irene in North Eastern PA. It is our hope that both flood victims and those not affected by flooding will be able to better connect with each other to address the needs of victims in starting the process of rebuilding their lives.
Due to issues regarding storage of larger items, many relief efforts have a difficult time getting items such as couches, washers/dryers, and appliances to those affected. We hope that our website, coupled with the generousity of locals and needs of affected victims, will assist in helping those in need to turn their damaged houses back into homes.
Our10.org was founded by local Tunkhannock graphic designer and marketer Michael Cahill and Tunkhannock local and web developer Chris Mincarelli. Michael saw a need and a way to help affected individuals and families in his area rebuild and spoke with Chris, who wanted a way to help from where he currently resides in Maryland. As a result the two conceptualized and developed Our10.org and look forward to seeing it help this area rebuild, and hopefully be helpful in the future for other areas affected by disaster.
